Check out these photos...er, maybe not actually photos (because they're pure garbage), but the EXIF data :

I have a DSC P93 for 3 months now . Set it on AUTO ( green selection on the dial ) and try to shoot towards the sun - will not damage da cam - I promisse - press shutter half way - read the LCD - U can reach up to 1 / 1700 - at least it was what I`ve got .
