I've been using an old Sony Cybershot S75 for about 5 years and the pictures are brilliant. People cannot believe I use a digital camera. The one problem with color is that it removes the blue from magenta and purple. I'm left with pink when photographing those colors. I try to make adjustments with my photo program but it never can make up for the original colors. Now, I'm planning to get the H5. Does anyone know if I'll have that same problem?

The sensor started to die. :(

The newer Sony cameras can reproduce colors alot better than the older ones.

I agree. I still have (and still dearly love) an original Sony DSC S70 from the year 2000, but that does tend to reproduce shades of bluish-red as somewhere near to scarlet and its purples print out as magenta, though they show as purple in the viewfinder.

Arecently-acquired Sony T5 has more accurate - although, it has to be admitted, much less vivid - colour reproduction across the whole spectral range.
