Hello All,

Unexpectedly bumped into this on Saturday:

The kids were mesmerised:

Hi, Nicholas:

What a facinating "back yard" you have. Beats the heck out of bumping into porcupines and armadillos.

The wonderful expression on the little girl's face in number 8 alone was worth the cost of the R-1. :) Ria

Hi Ria,

I wish I owned a Backyard, never did.

We as humans were made more to enjoy your type of backyard more than mine.

The children's reactions, some happy, some scared, are a joy to watch.

And I agree, the R1 is a joy to use.

Hi Nicholas

This is so glorious and colourful. Something about the possibility of the unexpected makes it attractive to have a camera with one at all times.

Ria's notion of the expression on the little girn in number 8 being worth the price of the R1 .... yes I concur and share a sense of ... well ... Cristmas-like hush and awe that such moment exist ... and that we can notice them and have the tech with which to share them. Priceless.

Regards

Glyn

Hi Glyn,

Glad you like the photos.

Yes, sharing moments with digital images on the WWW far exceeds the old way of getting film developed, show some prints and stick them in a drawer.

Some months I get over 35,000 views of indivdual images.

Knowing that what I see with my camera will possibly been seen by others around the world has changed photography for me a great deal.

Nicholas
