I've read all the reviews on thses two digicams, and wanted to know how users feel about thses two cameras. I'm making the move to digital from film, I'm a long time film user. I've always used Nikon cameras and lens, along with low speed films, 50 and 100, rarely 200 or 400. I'm looking to make some 5x7's and 8x10's, and web posts, but looking for great quality. I'm fussy that way. Not looking at the D-SLR's though. Any info on what users have found re: thses two digicams would be very helpful, short of shooting for a day with thses two, having a tough time deciding which will be the right choice. Reliabilty is alsoa big factor. Thank You in advance,

Don't even consider the 8080 it is absolutely the worst camera I have ever used in low light focusing ability (2-4 seconds). I also found the shots to lack some vibrance and depth of field compared to the 828. But, by far most, the 828 is a speed demon overall, the 8080 doesn't even come close!

Thanks for the info rgreenberg, I have done more research and many agree with your findings. I also do not care for the loose feeling of the lens. How have you found the picture quality below ISO 200? How does picture quality compareusing RAW vs JPEG, as I have read they are very close in quality. Are there any lens attachment options for shooting at 24mm? I realize Sony does not make an attachment. Any further advice you can offer would be great, Thanks Again:cool:
