Do I need a 'driver' for my Sony DSC V1? I just got this camera and I really like it, but it didn't come with a CD so I can't see the pictures. I have the USB connecting cable and a Mac G4 but the pictures don't display when I plug it in. I looked for a driver but all I can find are ones for PCs. Should I buy a memory stick reader?

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Michael, I have the V3, which is also an old camera and had no problems seeing the pictures (I have a PC, not Mac. I also have a MS card reader, which I prefer to use rather than plugging the camera in. I assume you can see the images on the camera, correct? If so, then I'd suggest you buy a card reader. They are cheap these days. Make sure you buy an USB 2.0 reader or the upload will be much slower. Now, if you can not see the images on the camera's LCD, then either the MS card or the camerais defective.

I had a DSC-v1 for years and never needed a driver, just connected the camera directly and showed like another drive, but i used more a USB adaptor for the memory sticks, i think it was faster transference.
