I have an old DSC-P1 sitting on my desk - we dropped it and the focus motor no longer works. The camera powers on, the lens extends, but it will not focus/zoom any more. Everything else seems to work fine.

Taking it to a repair place is silly - for what it costs just to look at it I can buy a new camera. Is it worth me opening it up and digging around? any thoughts?
