I have a Sony DSC-W50 and were going on vacation and I know I'll be taking lots of shots of my kiddie at night on the rides so there will be alot of bright light even though its dark, does anyone have any suggestions for the best camera setting? I have the following options. Now I have the red eye and AF off because of the shot delay, should I be using the AF at night? Thanks!

Auto record mode
Point-and-shoot, some menu options locked up

Program mode
Still point-and-shoot but with full menu access

High sensitivity mode
Boosts the ISO as high as 1000 for blur-free photos; see below for more

These are all scene modes

Twilight portrait

Soft snap

Get an external flash - I use a style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000":

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Sony HVLSL1 which extend the range to about 50 feet. Small andlight - I have been very happy with it. Only downside is the CR123 battery which is expensive unless buying several on-line - about $1 each. Approx $4 at your neighborhood store.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"You should experiment with settings since your "film" is free.
