like You know something wrong with Sony's infolithium batterys.
Have anyone tried equivalent batteries from POLAROID or LENMAR ? They make equivalent NP_FM50 batteries . they cost less, and maybe they work better and longer than sony's ? any comments ? here urls in yahoo shoping : http://r1.us.rmi.yahoo.com/rmi/http:...arget%3D_top?m ode=itempage&file=/page/itempagev4/itempage.spl&prodid=1624170 http://products.search.shopping.yaho...-fm50+equivale nt&r=&mid=51844&did=&pf=&pt=&Y=1&q=&X=1& ;clink= |

I don't know...I rarely have to even charge my battery. I've purchased an extra but wonder when I'll need it! I love the fact that my DSC S-50 rarely needs battery attention. Lexmark are made by Sony. |

Have a F505 and had a S70. The S70's battery was no hastle and worked perfectly for the year I had it. Kick myself for selling it. The F505 has been in the shop at least 5 times and everytime it was a power related problem. Sony won't admit it, but a tech at a repair center informed me that the batteries that F505 and other models that use that same smaller battery have had problems. Sony is slowly phasing out the use of the 3.6 volt infolithium battery. They have sold so many that admitting that they are defective would cost them a fortune.

I have F707 with infolithium battery and never experienced any difficulties so far. The only issue I noticed, is that having the battery low, I switched on the camera, and the infolithium indicater has mentioned 32 minuts to go which was not that realistic. In the third second, it's has shown only 10 minuts. Could be the bug, the the level indicator was showing the low power correctly and I would say I can leave with it barreling in mind that this battery gives upto 2,5 hours of operating time!
