I'd like to find some sort of camera case/carrying bag that will make it easy to grab the camera and take a photo on the fly, for example at a convention. A case is all very well but then you have to open it up, get out the camera, and then you can get ready to shoot.
Any suggestions? Whatever it is, it would need to have open areas for all the buttons etc. on the lens and the body as well as openings for the screens etc. |

I've read that the "everready" cases aren't all that great, because by the time you open the zipper, pull the camera out and raise it to your eye the photo's gone. The LowePro holster cases are a nice, except that the F717 doesn't fit in it. Look around at Tamrac too. Your best bet for quick photos is to have the strap around your hand and your finger on the trigger.

I think the LCS-FX is a great take around and carry camera for little to no accessorries. Also take a look at the lcs-fha.
Then the aluminum LCH-FHA , is large and a great thing for travel. But why would you want to take a camera in and out of a case at a convention. No matter what the case , thats going to be a pain. So you might as well get something nice for it. |
