When I turn on the camera and the lens expands I find it quite fragile. I know I am not to touch or twist it anyway...
But it kind of rattle and can be eaysily moved sideways 1-2 mm and turned also 1-2 mm - is this normal (has been possible right from the beginning)? I mean of course the telescope (as seen in the picture above) and not the actual glass lens. What do all you W1 users have to say about this - do you experience the same? -- SnowScan My album: http://www.SnowScan.org -------------- |

I bought a lenses adapter for the W-1 and I leave it on just to protect it.

Most extending lens designs have a small amount of play in them. This is perfectly normal, and helps insure that the lens mechanism does not bind up.

My W1 too has play in it. The A80 I am replacing it with has much less play.
I tried to see if this affected focus on the W1 and it didn't seem to. |
