I've got some serious autofocus problems with my DSC-P93. If it's fixed, it's good - but when I'm shooting on auto (even when the AF illuminator is used), the focus is bad in 80% of the photos.

Any idea what may have caused it and how can it get back to normal?

What kind of shooting are you doing?? The 93 has two monitor and single AF modes available in the set up menu...use monitor for moving subjects, single for static. In the shooting menu you have Multi AF (...use it to track moving objects and maintain focus), Center Af, giving you a narrower focus range , and 5 preset focus distances, .5m, 1m, 3m, 7m and infinity. It sounds like you may have one of these preset distances set, as you should get decent results from the other modes regardless of situation. If this is not the case, you may have a defective camera. I hope this helps.
