Hello All,

Yesterday we visited Fort Wadsworth for the first time. When I saw this view I wasamazed at how I could see the strategic location of the fort and how any ship entering New York Harbor would be in sight of its guns.

I have alway viewed this fort's front wall from the opposite shoreline in Brooklyn.

This view from the Staten island side of the Harbor was very educational to me.

H9, Handheld, Only slight Levels, some cloning on the edges, used AutoStitch on 1800 pixel wide reduced images to save processing time:

Looking forward to your comments.

( P.S. of course by this time, for me, the H9 is a real keeper ).

Another nice panorama of a beautiful scene Nick. Still can't see the joins!

I wonder - do you (or anyone else) know of a slideshow/panorama viwer that automatically scrolls the picture across the screen when the picture is selected? I'm going to build a digital photo frame from an old laptop and such a programme would be very handy.

Hi Steveasub,

Glad you liked the image.

I am not aware of any type of 'panning' program. Please let me know if you find one.

Sounds like a very good idea.

Great Pano !! Looks like something you would

see on a calendar. I remember a program that came

with one of my cameras that made panos but forgot the name.

Will look for it.......... Jim

Hi Nick,

I found this programme which looks very interesting. I haven't installed it yet, butI will in the next few days or so. If you try it first, let me know. An added bonus - it's free!
