The Raynox DCR-150 Macro Lens ($45) is a snap-on, snap-off lens. All shots focus at 8 Inches. Actual field size is determined by the amount of telephoto zoom. Zoom in this image was set to 3X and handheld.

Which Raynox Macro lens would be better to use with the DSC-H1, the Raynox DCR-150 or the Raynox DCR-250. I am mainly interested in the end quality of the pic. Do you think that both macro lenses are of the same quality or mite one have an edge over the other?

To markpw2With the H1 & the DCR-150 the largest & smallest images I get (all at 8 inches) are approx. as follows:2 7/8 x 1 7/8 inches at 3X zoom.11/16 x 7/16 inches at 12X zoom. You cannot go lower than 3X zoom for then you run into vignetting because of the Raynox small lens size. The DCR-250 lets you get even smaller which is beyond my desires. Can't vouch for any other than the 150. Hope this helps you out

Mutant !~ But have you used sharpening in Photoshop on this image? The EXIF shows you did..... I think it is too sharp fort a handheld!!! Why dont you just post straight out of the camera, NO POST PROCESSING than we can judge !
