I'm having trouble getting hold of a H5 in Australia at a reasonable price. As such I was thinking of getting one shipped from the US.

Has anyone else done this?

After looking at the Australians Customs web site am I correct in thinking you can import something up to the value of $1000 without having to pay any duty?

Can anyone recommend an on-line firm that is reliable and ships to Australia, where i can purchase the camera from.

Thanks in advance.

Mark.

MConstable,

Don't know if you have had success getting an H5, but if not I have one I find I do not really need and would be glad to sell it to someone who will put it to good use. It's too much overlap withmy Nikon D70.

I'm in Texas, which is in far eastern Austraila.
