HX5V- no B+W...?
Hi Sony peeps... maybe I'm being a bit dumb, but I cannot seem to find a B+W mode on my fathers HX5V.... is there such a thing..??

As on my HX9v
I go to "P" then hit the menu and scroll down to you see "color mode"

that is where B&W is located

I'll give that a whirl when I get my hands on it again tomorrow. Thanks fishycomics.. :)

for the stills am sure it i nthere for video to. the funny part is you have to look for it and not think its just there. good luck, the HX9V is hte better for 259 at a local brick store Costco wit ha 16gb card I believe

Unfortunately,B+W does not seem to be anywhere, nor does ANY colour adjustment... :(
Very disappointing on a "not so cheap" camera

exactly what is it you are after, for the Still, or video or both?

If you ask me I rather own the orginal footage then minipulate in software, rathr be stuck with a forced footage.

two ways one will want a b & W to color in for themselves.

It's my fathers camera- and he just want's to take pics in B+W,which he would prefer when taking pics of old buildings. He doesn't have a computer and would like to print pics straight off the card- though it seems like that's out of the question..!!
Just as a side issue- my Fuji J100 camera(which is what comes with me when I'm mountain biking- as it ain't worth doesn't have B+W either...!!

Are you looking at a HX5 or a HX9....?? Under Program mode menu, there is no colour mode on the HX5.... at least I can't see one...!!
It seems I am not alone...!
