Hey everyone, if you do not know what a lightning trigger is go to lightningtrigger.com and check them out. Anyways I'm in the process of getting my first digital camera and they say the lightning trigger needs an electronic shutter release. Does anyone know how many camera's have these or a place where I can check whether camera's have them or not. I'm looking at maybe a sony f717 or something along those lines. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, you might want to ask the company that makes it what it does to trigger the shutter release, and then ask Sony how theirs works (I have a DSC-717, and there's a wired remote that plugs into the ACC port). That does look very interesting, but to get the timing right, you'd probably have to set everything manually in just about every Sony camera beforehand (white balance, focus, f stop, shutter speed). All those things seem to take forever when it's automatic<g>. I'd be interested in hearing from either company, especially the trigger people if it can be used with a Sony. Hope that helps
