I just got a DSC-717, and I love taking long night exposures of lit objects. But with a 35mm, the black parts are, well, black, with the 717 the blacks are all noisy, with lots of blue and red noise. I am forcing ASA-100, taking exposures from .5 sec to 13 sec of my neighbors house w/streetllights (so auto-noise reduction kicks in). Does anyone have any suggestions? The one night exposure on Steve's Digicams review looks better then what I have been able to do. Thanks in advance.
