Wirraway-
I am glad to see Sony doing something. However, ISO 3200 on a very small CCD can get scary. I guess we have to wait to see some reviews of the camera. Sarah Joyce |

Sarah
Agree, I would not get too excited about this latest Sony H camera, it looks like it is to be marketed against the Panasonic TZ3, also with no aperture/shutter priority, camera enthustiasts on camera forums like herewould not show much interest. However maybe the new lens might be very good and the camera can be used in manual for those that know how, but we are still confronted with 8.1 megapixels on the small 1/2.5" sensor. |

You see the problem exactly. Sony really needs to hit the streets with an ultrazoomcamera that is at least competitive with the Canon S-5. If they do not, camera enthustiasts will continue to walk awy from the Sony brand. Sarah Joyce |

Hi All,
With these one sentence assertions about Sony and the H9 I believe a re-visit to a Reality Check is in order: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/forums/view_topic.php?id=572423&forum_id=28 Regards, Nicholas |

Fully agree with you Cyberf828, I would doubt anymore than 2-3% of people if that look at camera review sites and and are at the mercy of the camera salesman whatever he is pushing at the time.

I take review sites with a grain of salt all due to me doing my own reviews of the camera I am about to buy. Where I am the stores allow you to buy them and try them out and if you are unsatisfied you can take them back with 100% refund. All but one camera and it was the Canon 30d I had to use a friends due to nobody having them in stock.
