non sony NP- FM50 battery Good?? Bad??
 

Has anyone used any of the non Sony NP- FM50 batteries. These non Sony batteries are much cheaper. Has anyone had any experiences with these batteries?

I've used a InfoTECH FM50 with my DSC S-30 for over a year without any noticeable difference between it or my original sony battery. I wouldn't be afraid to try one if the savings makes it worth it. Good luck and let us know what you decicde to do and if you are satisfied.

I use a non-Sony Li-ion battery with my TRV-900. As far as I can tell, it performs just as good as the real Sony batteries.
I don't remember where I bougth them (over 2 years ago), but I got two for about $90, while Sony was asking about $120 for one.

By the way, after a lot of use, both batteries are still working like new.

As luck would have it I picked up a new genuine Sony NP FM-50 on ebay for $28.00 :lol:. I haven't recieved it yet but if it performs like the one that came with the camera I'll be more than satisfied. Sofar I've had 0 problems with anything I've bought on ebay.

I've used a generic battery and it has a little more capacity than the Sony battery. I paid $24.95 for it on the Internat.
