Hi All,

Was at PhotoPlusExpo today in New York.

Tried the 24-70 2.8 on a 5D (body I use) worked fantastic re focsing. Put on the 24-105 f4 ( Lens I own and use) and focus was just as good except when pointing at a black fabric on a chair. I will save my $ and keep using my 24-105 f4 which still amazes me.

Yes, I held the D3 for 1/2 hour (in face of being pushed around at the counter).

My opinion? I want one. Can't afford it but I want one. The review focus check is simply amazing. The Nikon 24-70 2.8 ( smaller than Canon's was a nice lens).

No one knew when the D3 would actually be on the market, most said late November.

I brought my H9 with me and here are two shots from a Canon Pro Shoot.

Yes, I only raised my H9 overhead while sitting in the last row, shooting with my tilt LCD, and she was looking right at me ( more likely at my H9, [ could've been the 74mm filter that caught her eye] ):

Regards,

Nicholas

Hi All,

20+ views and no one found this interesting?

The Canon DSLR forum had 50+ hits to my same post with no response, (which I can understand).

Many in the audience had DSLRs around their necks and I was the only who took a shot. I don't think anyone present could have captured this shot I got with my 'little' H9.

The show was very good this year.

Regards,

Nicholas

The reason Nick for not getting any responce is you have it in the wrong folder :GYES I THINK WE WERE :angry:with the other guys , forums are about:Pif nobody participates then:bye:to the forum. Any way who is the model in the photo

Hi Foxcub6,

We sure were .

I don't know but she sure was looking at either 1) me, 2)my muscular though aged extendard arms overhead, 3) my H9, or 4) more likely the big 74mm lens pointing at her.

She was one of three models. Other pics to follow.

It was a very good free seminar.

I get to see these once a year in New York.

Regards,

Nicholas

Just to argue Nick, I bet I could have caught the same photo with my 30d  Also where are all the other photos. As for no responses for your posts I always watch for your posts but figure it would get old to hear me say nice catch all the time. So how is your Canon doing? I am buying stuff for my 30d all the time some much stuff so little time LOL.

how would a 30d have face recognition?

unless you're 7 foot tall, ill give it to ya then

Idon't see howface recognition would have helped. I am not impressed with that feature on the new H series camerasand I would put my H5 against the H9 any day. As for the 30d are you talking about the angle of the shot due to Nick holding it above his head? He was also sitting down while he took the shot.
