You are correct, Chrystie-
That is a dragonfly in the photo that I posted. Here is another that has great color to it. Sarah Joyce |

Hi Sarah,
your pictures are lovely, but it would be even nicer to see them a little (or even a lot!) bigger please! But big or small, please keep them coming, Steve |

icecoldblue,
This is how I shoot the Moon. I justed the shadows thats why the back ground is really bad I lightened it up, it looked to dark to me. ice cold blue-
Thanks for posting to our little thread on the Sony H-9 and welcome to the forum. I am not personally big on moon shots, and have never attempted them myself, so I will abstain for any C&C on those shots. Regarding you sunset shots I think the first is attractive and effective for its surrealism. The other sunset shot has me peering intently to the left hand side of the photo trying discern what that is over there?? In my personal experience, sunsets are much more effective if (a) The sun is more obscured. (b) If you can readily see and integrate other component parts of the sunset photo into you enjoyment of the photo. Today's Photo of the Day is a very good example of both (a) and (b). It is titled, "Back-up Transportation." I have posted a copy of that photo below. Sarah Joyce |
