I am having some issues using my remote control. The manual is somewaht vague.

My remote works from the front, back and below toward the front.

I developed an easy method to do this.

Is the sony remote control for the H-9 infrared or RF ?

It's infrared... you can tell by the diode sticking out at the front and also by the fact that the camera has an IR sensor ;)

Thanks all for the input, I think I have got it figured out.
The distance is less than I had anticipated but otherwise ok.
