My contributions to the F707 community. After 5 years of ownership, this baby is finally going to retire.
It is a bulky camera to carry around. I really put this camera through the torture test. When I say torture, think in line with rain, snow, mud, sand . I admit, Sony has done a fantastic job on this P&S, F707 has never failed me, not even once. The real draw back of these P&S units is the fix lense. Nowadays, I find myself shuffling for f/22 @ 1/10sec, but to no avail. What makes the F707 so great? Custom white balance, 3 step flash, 38mm-190mm and at F2.0 its a super fast camera. What was the most annoying venture? Expensive Tx converters that cause a great deal of polarization. Bogus 256mb Lexar media stick ( It's actually a 128mb stick with a dip switch, read side A & side B ). An exuberant amount of noise at ISO 200 and above. Would I purchase another Cybershot again? Most likely. If Sony would ever change their media preferences, Cybershots will be that much affordable. Show and tell time: C&C welcome. No PP was done except for crop and frame.
