There'd be a lot less buzz if Sony weren't Missing In Action
on this product introduction. They haven't even posted a press release acknowledging that the Dark Agony is now shipping. We have no day-and-date final reviews of this camera, so we have to interpret statements and images from early users. Not much of this info is useful. The overwhelming impression is that Sony is not exactly proud of this product. It's beginning to look like my next camera won't be a DSC-F828. |

But in what is widely considered to be a putdown of the DSC-F828, Canon had a press release today that included this quote attributed to Takashi Oshiyama: "Those companies out there that have no experience producing film cameras have yet to create a camera that performs like a real camera should. I won't say who that is." Ouch. Sony's only press release this week describes advancements in their humanoid robot, which is not even a product. |
