This is a raven. I really liked that the camera did not just wash out his real coloring and just make it a solid black mass.

CB401, very hard a black subject on a bright background, Hope you don't mindjust tried shadow/highlight tool with Elements 3 on your shot to see what would happen, what do you think?.

Wirraway, it does allow more detail in the darker areas, without detracting from the bird!!!

Great shots of flying birds, thokoe and CB401.
Wirraway, I like the editing job on the blackbird. It now shows a lot more details. Now, as for your comments about the dSLRs beingIT for shooting flying birds, I think it depends on the situation. I've taken some good pictures (IMO, of course) of flying birds with my H1. I've posted one earlier on this thread and here's another one. |
