Thanks Tullio for the detailed reply, as we are leaving for a 5 week driving holiday in 2 weeks time I don't have time to get a new monitor before we leave, as we will be spending time in both Brisbane and Sydney I hope to be able to track down one of these NEC IPS desktop monitors and bring it back to Townsville.
In the mean time I'mbanging my head againstthe wall trying to set up a wireless network betweenour 2 computers :?. The only advantagewiththe Sony A100 over what you already have is if you use a 10-20 mm wide angle lens for landscapes, best of luck what ever you decide. Update: Replaced the plane shot with a less over processed version. This one to see what the noise looks like. Departing Brisbane International for Bangkok, Camera Sony DSC-F707 + 1.7x T/C |

Beautiful! That's a much better version. Personally, I like shadows. I think they add depth to any subject! Have a good trip, Wirraway.

Nice shots, goofas. The 717 is really a keeper from all the images I've seen.

I sold my F717 6 months ago. I just bought another off ebay yesterday with a repaired CCD in great condition. I really love that lens.

It does have a great lens, also found the other day that the senor used inthe F717 is larger than those used by most P&S cameras.Still smaller than the 4/3 senors but larger thanPanasonic FZcamera line. Just a bit of unless information.
