mtclimber,
Thanks for the kind words. I will be purchasing a DSLR in the near future for more serious work but will always maintain a H-5 or similar camera for my everyday shots. I have 11x14 enlargements from the H-5 that have exceeded my expectations in terms of IQ. The H-5 was my entry back to photography after a longlayoff from 35 mm SLR photography. |

I went to the DSLR game and I just got tired of lugging around a DSLR, several lenses, and an external flash. I honestly enjoy photography more and take more photos when my kit bag is not so large or weighty. So I am back with my Sony H-5 and the H-2 and H-3, and really enjoying photography more. Sarah,
Lot of sense there. For most shooting my H5 would be more than adequate except low light (high ISO) and flash (too long flash recycle time). Perhaps the newer H series with Lio battery would be better suited for cycle time. Am going to DSLR for IQ issues but remember lugging 35mm SLR,a couple of lenses, and flash - 20 lbsrather than my H5does seem like labor. Paniolo |

That is exactly what drew me back to P&S cameras such as the H-3 that I can carry with me all the time right in my purse. Sarah Joyce |

Here is one, very cold seagull. He was tail into a 20 knot wind at about 45 degrees F. Taken with the Sony H-3 at a distance of 50 feet.

Sarah,
This one was taken at the side of the highway - A few horses, quite a distance away. Kealia, Island of Kauai, H5, approx 12x |

That is a great shot of the horses. You got to love the Sony H-5. Here is another shot from the new H-3 at our local Coast Guard Station. Sarah Joyce |

Good shot - sad to see a boat "out of the water".

Here is a human interest photo. Meet my husband, Bradley working withone of our 15 grandchildren. It is a great photo right from that great Sony H-3 camera. Give it a try! You will like it! Sarah Joyce |

There certainly is not much activity on the thread. I guess it is not like the old days. Perhaps we can get things rolling again. Here is an H-5 photo.
