Very cool effect, Cyber. I just received the A300 yesterday (I replied to a post from Jung who also bought an A300 with my impressions of the camera). So far, I'm not that happy with it. I think the Oly E510 was a superior camera.

Good capture! I don't know how tight security is up in Anchorage but down here in the SF Bay Area, photography is not allowed inside Airports. Last year I was in Toronto waiting for a connect flight to England and decided to entertain myself by taking photos of the terminal architecture. I was immediately told off and asked to put the camera away. That's life after 9/11.

tullio,
Hate to break this to you...but, Toronto is not in the States...I work in the SF bay area airports...and keep at least one camera on me most days...depending on IF i remember to Charge my batteries...and only in certain areas is the airport off limits to photos...just check us out next time news crews come thrrough...and that is why we can't keep people from taking pictures...we are public view...and unless we ban All pics.... No, you can't go up and take security pictures...but, architecture, people, yep can do...had this one guy I was shooting...from about twenty feel...he was laying on the floor...taking pictures from the floor sight...through the parade of feet...towards the outer doors...nothing big deal...but, he was interesting to watch...had a nice camera too...canon I believe. Was a while ago... If photos weren't allowed, passengers would be all arrested!!!! And, so would I!!!! There is one caveat...the art exhibits do ask that you do not photograph them, least some do...not all. I am not using them for publish or whatnot, mainly to practice shooting them through glass...which is a pain and a half...do not use flash...so I do tend to take some...depending on the subject matter... I have gone to the windows and shot photos of the planes at the gates...long range lens...have to lean on something, tho...hands shake with the heavier ones. I do wish they would clean the windows more often. San Jose is in process of renovation...so, too, I hear is SFO...Oakland hasn't caught up to the 20th century. |

Nice shot, Sarah. I see the H3 has become a favorite of yours. I bought the Alpha A300 recently (I posted 2-3 topics in the Sony SLRforum). It's a nice camera with excellent DR.

Congratulations, Tullio-
The Sony A-300 is a great camera, I am sure you will really enjoy it a lot. The size of the Sony H-3 is what makes it very handy. Sarah Joyce |

Thanks, Sarah. A few things already annoyed me but overal it seems to be a good camera. There is no doubtIMOthat, with the exception of the limited DR, the Oly E510 is a muchbetter camera and the Zuiko kit lenses are way far superior than the Sony standard kit lens. So much so that I already bought a replacement lens fro the A300.
