I'm going to get a Sony DSC-W1 soon and since it only comes with 32MB card, i'm going to buy some more.

Do I have to buy sony brand, or can is there another type I can buy for cheaper? Also do these other cards work as well?

What do you recommend?

Yep same here. After getting Sony for my first two extra cards next I "risked" Sandisk and have bought them every time since.

One more Sandisk user. I also got their 256 MB Memory Stock Pro. Works without any problem in W1 and is 40% cheaper than the Sony sticks. I wonder how many memory sticks Sony is selling
