Does anyone know when in February the P200 will be available? Beginning/End? I just returned my P150 to wait for the P200 but now I have a bunch of lonely accessories sitting on my desk!
Does anyone know what sites (if any) will have a pre-order on the camera? Thanks! --Ashley |

At the CES they only said that Sony announced it was coming out in February. The only thing is, last year Sony announced new cameras and said they were coming out at the end of April but they came out in June!!! Very very frustrating! I'm speaking in particular about the P100 and the W1.
style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"I hope this year they are on track. style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"I'm stuck deciding if I should return my f828 in hopes that a great successor is coming soon. But then I might be without a camera for months because you can't always rely on "anticipated" dates of arrival. |

I hope SONY included the ability to save an ENLARGED/CROPPED image
on the P200. For me this was an unfortunate omission that SONY made on the P150. It exists in most Cybershots P100, P92 etc !!! SONY pleased DON'T give up this feature, it's especially useful on high megapixel cameras for making cropped images to printed as 4x6's without having to start up Photoshop, iPhoto etc. |

I was planning to buy P150 but I think I too will wait for the P200. Do you know how much it will be priced at? I understand you tried the P150 for sometime. How do you find the image quality and the video quality? Was it good for indoor and night photography. If anyone else can also share their personal experience with P150 it will be great. Thanks a lot! Kaz. |

Thats great for under 400$ !! Hopefully they advanced the software bundle.. improved the LCD visibility and retained (if not bettered) the image quality. Do you have experience with P100 or P150? Any idea how P150 compares with Canon SD300? Thanks, Kaz. |

Hi Kazaan,
I tried the P150 for about 5 days, taking mainly indoor shots. I didn't have a chance to take any outdoor pictures. I just played around with the different settings. I was worried about the flash being weak. My boyfriend has the DSC-T1 and the flash is terrible. But I was pleased with the flash of the P150. I know the outdoor quality is supposed to be excellent, so I was mainly concerned with testing it indoors. Overall I found the picture quality to be outstanding. I took many comparison shots with my 5 year old sony dsc-s70 (3.3 mp). I thought the P150's shots were much better (and I love my s70). Overall I was very pleased. I only decided to return it because the P200 was announced 3 days after I bought it! I am a fan of the bigger LCD on the P200, so it's worth the wait. I also tested the video quallity which I found to be quite good. I have a 512 MB memory stick pro, and could get about 6 minutes of video on the highest setting. I was pleased with the quality. I didn't compare it to the Canon SD300--only on the computer--I never tried the Canon. I think the Canon is a nice camera, but it doens't have as many manual controls as the Sony. I think there are pros and cons to every camera out there. I love the style and speed of Sony's cameras. I hope that is of some help to you! If you have any specific questions, please let me know! Does anyone know when in February it will be available? Thanks! Ashley |
