from what i have been reading you are more than likely correct. You said you got the raynox wide angle, do you find the .66 gives you a wide enough view for everything?

no effects from the step doown to 52mm? and is the .66 wide enough? Do you also have close up lenses from sony?

I bought the Raynox 52mm adapter, which causes absolutely no vignetting. The step down will cause vignetting.

and as far as the WA, is the .66 wide enough? Do you also have close up lenses from sony?

I find 0.66 to be wide enough without hardly any distortion. If you need it to be wider, you should consider a fish eye but those lenses cause quite a bit of distortion. I also have the Sony VCL-M3358 (close up or macro, however you want to call it). It's another awesome lens. You can use it alone or inbetween the H5 and the DH1758tele to obtain incredible macro shots w/o having to get your nose on the subject.
