Hai everybody, I purchased a brand new Sony DSC-T900. When I'm preview the image and zoom to the maximum zooming level, or If i'm preview the image from the computer at 100% crop, I found strange pixelation pattern on the pic regardless that the image is blurry or not (please observe attached images, zoomed at 100% and cropped to preserve small file size).
Does anybody can explain to me what happened here? Is it the sensor problem? Or it's normal? Note: I already took several image with different-different settings, from low ISO, high ISO, with flash, without flash, and all comes with the same result. But less obvious on macro mode. Thanks, any help will be appreciated. Lok Tan |

It's normal, with a dSRL too.
Post a entire shoot that I can see the T900 quality! I have a T100, if you make a super crop of my photo, you have the same result. ![]() Have a nice day, Chris |

Hi, thanks for the reply.
But, so sorry, I cannot agree with you. I'm also a DSLR owner, and I definitely didn't found any pixel artifact on my 100% crop. I also a former owner ofIXUS point-and-shoot, and it also got a few pixel artifact, but not as extrem as T900 result, and the pixel artifact only appears on low light shooting condition, and again, only a FEW, NOT AS EXTREM as my T900! That makes me doubt, that something happend with my T900's sensor. Here's a sample of T900 shoot using close-up mode, no flash. Focus on one of the teddy's eye. |

i have the same issue which has been bothering me since i first tried the cam. as you have it as well i'm starting to think that the camera is bad.
in the pic you see a white wall with a grey tv and black tube. or at least it should be. all you get is noise in high definition ![]() |

could you please upload a sample video as well? here's one of mine in case you are interested:
http://rapidshare.com/files/226788112/swans.mp4 the most annoying thing is that you hear noise when you touch the zoom wheel. having the zoom wheel close to the mics was not a good design decision. the vids themselves are rather good. |
