Hi Purchased my first W1 in England last month but it packed it within a week-it took pictures but they were completely unrecognisable-returned it and was given a second which packed up this weekend-this time the lens stayed extended and turning the power off/on did not do anything-camera gave an error number (I forget which one) so am off to the shop again.
Am I just unlucky and should I risk a 3rd one? I think the camera is great but my confidence has been dented! Thanks |

Hi, I don't really know what to tell you.
I have my W1 for over a month, I've been taking great care of it, and so far it has worked flawlessly without the slightest of problems. Since I don't want to see it even slightly scratched (because its so beautiful) I have eally given it excellent care, nevertheless it does seem quite durable to me anyhow. If you really like the camera and can exchange it for free (warranty?) then do so. I think its a very good camera and its too bad giving it up because you were unlucky. If you haven't got warranty its a different story and I would be considering another camera if I were you. |

Mine has been fine for over 6 weeks. Try a hard reset or exchange it again.

I exchanged it (again) and ordered from a different supplier so 3rd time lucky-I went into a respected local camera shop and they said that they had no returns and that generally Sony were reliable. I will keep you informed.
