![]() I am quite new to the Photography and to the forum. I had little Samsung point and shoot that broke. I jus bought the HX-1. For me it is quite user friendly with the auto settings. Hopefully I can learn about the manual settings one of these days. My name is Bill. I hope to learn here and have some fun. Thanks. Here are a few pics with the HX-1 Last edited by talbot10; Jul 18, 2009 at 8:39 PM. |

Tullio-
How is this for REALLY sharp? It is from an open box item Pentax K-2000 DSLR that I grabbed when the camera stores went belly up. Less than $370.00! Sarah Joyce |

Indeed, Sarah. What a steal! However, I think the colors are a bit washed out.

You are right, Tullio-
It took some adjusting but now I have the colors under control on the pentax K-2000. Here is another pretty sharp photo from the Nikon D-5000 using the Nikon 18-200mm lens. Sarah Joyce |

Welcome to the Sony group, Talbot-
We are glad to have you join us. We are a very informal group that enjoy sharing photos from the Sony cameras and some others as well. Sarah Joyce |

I personally like the D5000 image better. How do you like the D5000? It seems to me that both the new Canon T1i and the Panasonic G1 are better than the D5000.

Hi Tullio-
The decision to go with the D-5000 body was motivated by the fact that I already owned all of the necessary lenses, and the external flash. So when I found a good price on the D-5000 body, I went for it. Sarah Joyce |

That's the good (and bad) thing about having compatible lenses. One is always tempted to upgrade to new bodies. How do you like the D5000?

Hi Tullio-
Well I am beginning my 3rd day with the D-5000, so my knowledge level is still building. However I really like it thus far. Sarah Joyce |

Okay this is my first time in photography and my first Digital Camera. I was having dilemma over FZ28 vs HX1 and I haven't regretted once after my HX1 purchase(might be because I'm a complete novice at it). I hope my pictures are not embarrassing.
First I would like to demonstrate the power of 20X optical zoom. I'm very much pleased with it: ![]() ![]() |
