I can't yet understand what kind of conversion is applied by youtube.
I simple upload the raw m2ts file straight from the camera, one time using the software supplied with the camera, one directly by youtube, one using the Playstation 3 new video upload feature. Some video results in HD, some not, some are better, others awful..... bah..... However i have done many tests and my personal conclusion is that the audio is very good in normal situations ( a part of a chronic lacks of low-frequency). When the music became louder, the Automatic Gain Control start to compress dynamic up and up until it fail ; at this point the result is first muffled sound and even after clipping distorsion. I tried to restrict the air (=sound) that arrive into the mic holes with different type of foam, with discouraging results; solved only the wind problem. |

Most computer software, including the PS3, converts the video before uploading and then Youtube converts again. So the results are awful, even the few times it is 'HD.' Just go directly to Youtube and from the youtube site upload your original mts files. They will be in HD (they are still converted by Youtube, of course, and are much worse than the originals, but that is the best quality you can get). Do not use software to upload. Ever.
You could also try Vimeo, which has higher qualty, is also free, and permits downloads of the originals if you want to share. |

The audio sample of the small band is fine - drums, trumpets etc. are quite loud and the TX7 does a good job. If a concert is distorting the TX7 audio I would also worry about my ears! |

At the Morcheeba gig for example the music volume was moderate. TX7 remain good for unplugged events, altough remains an annoing lack of bass (if you listened an audio clip recordered with the Panasonic TZ7 you can understand what i mean ![]() |

Hello all,
I'm a new owner of a TX7. It's really incredible. I need your help for a case for TX7 : I search a case for this digital camera Sony, which allows me to shoot without taking the camera out of the case. I didn't find any model like this in the Sony website. Furthermore, I don't search any case for underwater. Thank you for your help |
