Any experts here about noise? Anyone else who owns the V3 have any noise on the indoor shots far away?

I noticed at www.pbase.com when reviewing pictures of the Canon G6 that it too had noise indoors in lower light. The V3 pics are a lot clearer though and have less noise than the G6. I think in some situations the high megapixels have outrun the digital camera capabilities right now. I've read about noise on the 8MP digital cameras also of all manufacturers.:|

I agree with Meryl; the shot looks okay to me. Flash carry seems more than adequate and not noisy at the size I'm viewing it.
Someone on dpreview just posted some shots taken in overcast conditions outdoors. Several are shot at ISO 800 and they look very good for that speed. Go here: http://www.nagabyte.com/album/cristkindlmarkt_web/ |

I heard now that the noise shouldn't show up in print, that a computer screen is the equivalent of a 4' X 3' pic so of course it will show noise.
Oh well, I'll see. Otherwise I love the V3 it is way better than the Canon!! I haven't seen picsfrom the G6 as good as the Sony. No Way!!! |
