Thank you for the info. What I have is a Digi-Slave DELUXE 2000 PLUS and acable. The shoe mount has a single metal pin for an electrical connection. I am reluctant to plug the cable in just "to see" what will happen? I called Digi-Slave and they could not answer? Sony R-1's are not cheap so to be safe I'll go for the Sony flash or simply use the slave as a slave only. Many thanks for the help.
