I am on my second Sony DSC-T500, and both of them have produces artifacts in pictures taken indoors with flash. I haven't seen any other mention of this anywhere, but I have tried two different cameras. Any one else seeing this with the T500? Any advice from anyone on what to do to prevent this - see pictures?

Dust problem,
read this: http://www.digitalcamerareview.com/d...sp?newsID=2673
I had the same problem with T9 but no with T10.
How many photos have this problem with your T500?
Bye,
Chris

Yep, the flash is too close to the lense!! it happens on nearly every digicam from time to time. Nothing wrong with the camera, try shooting without flash and turn some more lights on!!

Over 50% of the indoor flash photos have this. So, it is completely unuseable.

Well, 50% is a problem.
With my T10 (and the flash is most near the lens that your), 10%.
I don't understand...

How dusty the room is probably would affect how much it happens also. I've seen it on every camera I have owned.
