Here is a shot I got today near Port Townsend. I just cropped a bit and resized to post and that was it. Sarah, one thing you will notice about your new H50... that the LCD is extremely bright and clear. Better than any I've seen out there. Plus the fact that it tilts.
FL:78mm - f/4.5 - aperture 2.875 - 1/200 sec - ISO 100 - -0.3 (small lake for blurred background) ![]() |

Hi Jack-
That is an excellent close-up of the pink flower. The background is nicely de-focused (perhaps indicating the use of a large aperture) to place the primary emphasis on the flower. An yes, the LCD screen on the H-50 is excellent. Sarah Joyce |

For those of you that want a good bounceflash to go with your Sony H50 try this one... I use it with the DSLR too.
Bower Digital Twin Flash for SONY Cyber-shot DSC-H9 http://www.labellecameras.com/produc...-SFD829TW.html ![]() |

Thanks for the excellent tip, Jack-
That Bower flash seems to work very well with the H-50. Sarah Joyce |

Having just read Steve's just postedreview of the H50 and the images posted here, looks like Sony has thrown the monkey off its back that was the H9. Good one Sony.

Here are four photo's I took at the local park this weekend.
Not bad for a non-dslr. :| ![]() Other than cropping and resizing, no other work done on this photo of bee. ![]() I did a little photoshop here to blur the background more. ![]() Here are two photos I took of a spider on my balcony at dusk. ![]() ![]() |

i decided while in the USA to pick up the H50 i like it so far but what is that black lense cover for? photos on bright days? one thing Sony missed is the damn lense cap popping off when left on the camera and turning it on, done it about 10 times now. sony missed that one, here are some photos i took suprised they turned out so well considering it was very windy, great photos Jack!

Yes, I agree, those are excellent sunflower photos. I returned my H-50 today, it just never seemed to be entirely consistent. So I am back to shooting with my Canon S-5, another excellent ultra-zoom.

Hi Jack-
Well, I think that the photo that I posted from the S-5 tells the whole story. I gave it a good try, but the H-50 did not work out well for me. Sarah Joyce |
