Sold my H9, and got this with 10% discount from CC:
Will explore camera and let you know.
First findings:
1) The flash fully illuminated my livingroom lit only by my TV. Color balance was perfect, colors.
2) Seems ISO is limited to 400 in A & P and M mode. But using the exposure compensation will provide higher ISO if your settings require it.
3) Hi ISO mode is bad , so far, unable to change ISO nor adjust NR.
4) Shooting on Auto provides great results, amazingly. WB is spot on, color perfect.
5) When properly exposed, noise is not a problem.
5) Night Shot provides dark Black & white noisy image that is better than the pitchblack of a darkened room. Three shots, all in focus.
6) When using NR lOW the camera processes the image before displaying in the LCD creating a time lag. Not sure if i can continue shooting by 1/2 pressing the shutter.
7) Smile shooting is fantastic and alot of fun, accurate too,
I went for the H50 as I can uses my tele lens, filters and extra battery from my H9.
What sold me was my H9. I had over 200 images on my card after using my D300 sice November 07, I and finally sent them for printing on the internet, only using auto levels and auto sharpen in PSE6.
When I picked up my prints i was very pleased at the results and this reminded me how effective a camera the h9 is. When I saw the H50 i decided to get it, luckilyI got 10% off, paid $359.00.
Will be busy this weekend but will post updates when I learn more about my H50.
Regards,
Nicholas
