I hate the sky-high prices of Memorysticks + it's a proprietary format.
Even with xD cards you're better off: at least 2 makers (Fuji and Olympus) support them. Plus: they're cheaper than Memorysticks. I'd rather have SD cards, though. |

Hey, shutterbuggy, remember that both the R1 and F828, both Sony cameras, support CF I/II media. I only use memory sticks as backup in the F828, and for my other Sony cameras.
In fact I use a Hitachi 4gb CF II MicroDrive for almost all my photos and videos in my F828, which the Sony R1 Simon plans to purchase also supports! Besides, depending on where you purchase Memory Sticks, and while they are usually a tad costlier, their prices are competitive. |
