i am getting this 'X' or cross mark with a circle around it on the display (middle left corner) whenever i try zooming in too much onto a subject. doesnt matter whether its in macro or normal mode. it never happened before, in fact before if it was too close to focus, it just remained out of focus, but now it indicates with that circled 'X' and remains out of focus.
what could be the problem ? |

Hi,
That's the Histogram. On page 50 of the user's manual, it talks about it. Basically, it's a graph showing the brightness of the pixels contained in an image, to let you guage proper exposure. That same page also mentions the X image when you record in the digital zoom range, when recording or playing back in the 2560 (3:2) size, and when rotating a still image. It also seems if you press the Display button to turn it off if it's not of any use to you. Hope that helps Michael |
