For EX- condition, this lens is selling for $714.00 bucks. I don't think its a G lens, but is it good for this price?

They say its the white version, according to maxxumeyes.com its just a bit below the average price for that lens.

FYI, I'd sugest you do not order used stuff from adorama online. Call them. They have a very nasty habbit of selling one used item to dozens of people, then waiting a loooooong time to tell you something is amiss.

Is this lens any good though? How does it compare to the 70-200mm ?

I dont know really, sounds like its better at the wide end than the long end. Filter ring rotates during focus. Otherwise, reviewers seem to praise it quite a bit.
