some where i read before i bought this lens only had good things to say

recently all i read is negative reviews:?

99.9% of the negaitves are from people who either have never used the lens and read something about it, or have tried using it in low light indoors. It is probably the best deal on a lens. Cameta is still selling them under $200.

i bought the more up date version in august, really have not had any problems yet

but often wondered if giving up the KM 24-105 d for the tamron 28-300 was a good idea:?

i now looking for a good quality wide zoom that will also be good in low light

I don't know that I would have given up my 24-105, but the 28-300 is a great lens, and if you could have just one lens, it would be hard to beat.

I have the sigma 28-300 and I'm happy with that too. AS for low light, I have the 28-70 F2.8 and it's a great lens. very recommended.
