This lens is sharp to the point that smaller crops are really good when compared to my old Minolta 100-300 APO. These birds, a White Wing Dove and a Bluebird, were photographed through a double paned window at a distance of 30 feet.

Here's a little trick for you:
Get another suet feeder and put whole, raw peanuts in it. Squirrels and other rodents can't pull the peanuts through the bars, but bigger birds (Corvidae and Picidae) seem to love pecking at them. Great shots! thanks for sharing! |
