I've seen a Carl Zeiss Jena AF MC Macro (75-200) up for sale in Minolta AF mount. The shop says that it will work with Maxxum mount cameras, but can't guarantee whether it would work with the later Maxxums, or my 7D. They suggested contacting KM directly, but I can't get ahold of anyone who will give me any sort of answer (I suspect they have other things on their minds at the moment...). Anyone got any ideas on whether this lens would work? Anyone have ideas about whether it's a good lens? (It's Zeiss, so I'm assuming it would be good!)

Thanks and best wishes,

I don't know of anyone using a Carl Zeiss AF lens on a KM DSLR.

If it were me, I'd take my camera to the shop and try the lens on it (make sure it's focusing accurately, etc.).

From time to time, you do see some compatibility issues with early 3rd party lenses. So, it would be best to try it to see if it works properly.

Thanks for the advice - I'll see if I can fit in a trip to the store sometime soon (it's 100miles away). I'll let you know what happens!!

Best wishes,

Hi Ben

Know someone who tried this lens on Dynax 7D. Auto focus dosen't seem to work. Have not found out from him if the metering works.
