Has any a77 owners installed the 1.05 update yet? Is there still a lag when you are in Av or Tv? How about when you put your eye to the EVF?

No noticeable lag that I can tell. Not sure what you mean by Av or Tv.

Av=Aperture Priority
Tv=Shutter speed priority. I think the firmware 1.05 fixed what lag issues there were. I might consider it though I'm leaning more towards the Canon 5D3 if I'm to jump ship (have always been a Nikon shooter...w/ exception of my new Canon s100 P&S). |

On Sonys, Aperture Priority is A Mode and Shutter Speed Priority is S Mode.

The a77 seems to be a good camera (on paper) especially after Sony put out firmware 1.05 to get rid of the lag issue associate with the aperture/shutter priority modes. And when you put your eye to the EVF.
If I didn't already have a APS-C DSLR I'd consider the a77 and the CZ and Sony G series lenses. The Canon 5D3 (and the many EOS lenses) will be my next choice. |
