The 100-300 APO and the 100-400 APO are very fine lenses, but they cost more used than the other lenses mentioned her do new. Plus they don't have the internal antireflective coatings that are desirable for lenses used on digital cameras.

Thank you for all your help, I end up getting two Sony lenses, one prime Sony DT 50 and Sony 55-200, and use them both already, I am extremely happy with the results ( so far)
