Anyone tried this yet? I was having trouble connecting to the computer, but after reinstalling the already updated firmware, it seems to work ok now.

I mean connecting the camera to the computer, so when you take pictures, they are sent directly to the computers hard drive, instead of the memory card. The "Remote Shooting" feature was added to the 7D's firmware in upgrade 1.10u.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"I believe I have it working preety consistent now, because I reinstalled the upgraded firmware. I want to connect the 7D to a laptop, and immediately show the client the pics when I shoot portraits. This way, I don't have to take the time to download the pics, plus they are immedialty stored on my laptops hardrive. I was first having trouble with the camera sending the info to the computer, but it seems ok now. I just need it to be reliable, and was wondering if anyone else has used this feature and their experience with it.

Anyone wanting to use this feature needs to download the FREE software from Minolta.

I just treat it as a removeable drive and copy/paste the images to my PC. I've found it's quite a bit faster than the software I was using (fuji). I don't think I've ever used the Minolta software, but I've never had an issue with windows recognizing the camera.
