Yup, that's the whole point of the adaptall mount- it makes the lens able to mount to any body, provided you have the correct adapter.

It would appear that all you need is the Minolta A mount adapter.

Hi ,

I am brand new here so I say Hi to everyone :-))

I am currently ( i beleive ) the owner of every Tamron Adaptal mount that Tamron released and I hate to have to be the bearer of ill tidings but to my knowledge, they did not release a mount that will suit your purpose.

This is a real shame as the Tamron SP 500mm Tele Macro 1:8 is a superb Lens and in my opinion right up there as one of the best in this range. I hope someone out there can prove me wrong for your sake but I fear you may be plumb out of luck.

Another pretty good 500mm Mirror Lens is the T Mount Vivitar which a good friend is using with excellent results. Donuts Galore with all of these Lenses even my MTO 1000mm " Russian Bazooka". Some find them Ugly , Others dont mind. I look at it this way, its a compromise so expect compromising results. The important thing is that you enjoy using it and I love mine, its in my bag " every" trip :-)

Stay Safe and Happy Clicking.

The Adaptall bayonet adapter that will mount the 500 mirror on the Sony is marked "/x (alpha symbol)/MAX'M (Maxxum)". It is, however, manual only (as is the lens) - there are no mechanical or electrical couplings on this mount. The cap is marked "MI-A" for Minolta A-mount.
